Building a Learning Organization

Today’s business world is characterized by uncertainty and interdependence. In this environment theperformance zone of an organization is the Learning zone.

There are two major aspects of a Learning Organization.

First, people feel invited and expected to share their ideas, concerns and mistakes. Everything else isunderstood as robbing the organization of an innovation or learning opportunity.

Second, learning and development are a integral part of any role throughout the organization. Leaders lead byexample, with support and challenge. They aim to develop themselves while developing others.

This culture is promoted by intentional leadership practices.
